I am a biogeochemist working on topics relevant to paleoclimatology. Specifically, my work through the YCEI focuses on using next generation genetic sequencing techniques in conjunction with biomarker lipid analyses, water chemistry and remote sensing data to answer pressing questions about the modern ecology of marine Archaea, and the applicability of proxies based on their lipid membranes.
